Vaishali has completed her Bachelor’s in Architecture from Dignity college of Architecture Durg, followed Master in Interior Architecture from Dr. MGR University, Chennai. She is inclined towards sustainability in architecture and traditional art and craft of India. Under her name she has several Scopus indexed research papers in national and international magazines.

As an architect she has worked in many projects like residence, townships and government.

She also participated and won in many design competitions and in 2020 her design entry of archmellow was selected in top 25 architectural entries internationally. She was invited as a panelist in Infest at Raipur to talk about gender neutral design.

She was also an active member at IIA Raipur chapter with whom she has organized many events and charity works.

She is an architect and an Interior Design expert possessing both the technical knowledge and artistic talent to teach and inspire students. She has completed a rigorous education in interior Architecture from the CEPT University and has accumulated years of practical experience in the industry.

As an educator, she imparts knowledge and experience to a new generation of aspiring interior designers, including expertise in design studios, drafting and rendering, furniture design, materials and finishes, and sustainability. She is also responsible for developing curriculum and upgrading students’ thought process thoroughly by conducting workshops and industrial visits.

Students look up to her as a mentor and guide, seeking guidance as they navigate the complexities of new age software’s, design research and thesis, where in her constructive feedback helps them to develop their skills and reach their full potential. She is passionate about her work, constantly seeking out new trends and developments in the industry conducting research, publishing articles , attending conferences and seminars to stay up-to-date on the latest innovations and best practices. Her contribution to BSD plays a critical role in shaping the future of students and her impact can be felt in the work of students for years to come.

Aditha is a graduate of architecture from Thiagarajar School of Architecture (Tamil Nadu) and has worked in the profession for over eight years. He has worked on various projects like hotels, commercial buildings, hospitals, residences and high end villas. He handles projects as a senior architect at Design Studio. Aditha works on designing spaces, issuing drawings and site supervision to execute them. He has been associated with BSD from its inception. He has been a great source of knowledge for our students as he brings in his current working knowledge from the industry. He guides our students with practical subjects giving them uptodate and hands- on experience. He also guides thesis students to produce well designed and executed projects.

Niharika N Rao earned a post-graduate degree in M.ARCH in Landscape Design specialization from B.B.D University, Lucknow. She has over 5 years of experience in practicing Architecture, Landscape Design & Interior Architecture. She has collaborated with prestigious design firms such as RSMS Architect, Pixels Designs & others. Her practice experience covers commercial design for hospitals such as Regency Hospitals (Kanpur), Nagpur Cancer Hospital, Medics Hospitals, and various Residential projects. Niharika’s unique leadership skills have allowed her to organize & conduct various industry-related events such as the Design Exhibition “Delhi Haat” & more.

Her passion for teaching and the desire to impart knowledge and skills led her to take up an Academic teaching position at Bangalore School of Design. Niharika strives to foster creative thinking in her students and strives to bring out their best potential. She believes in keeping herself updated with the latest trends and technologies in the field of design and architecture to guide students towards a better future. Her other varied interests include astronomical sciences, sketching and painting.

Jainy is an Architect, graduated from Manipal School of Architecture(MSAP), Manipal University. She has worked as an architect in Bahrain and Bangalore on both residential and commercial projects. She was involved in Ministry of Education(MOE) buildings in Bahrain and also commercial projects in Saudi Arabia.

She always had a zeal for academics towards architecture and interior designing. She is passionate about the job which gives her an opportunity to reach out to students and help unleash their creative side. As an interior design faculty in BSD, she is involved in hands-on workshops, site visits and design programs which help students to enhance their creativity and technical skills.

Dipti graduated as an architect from BMS School of Architecture and practiced for a couple of years in Bangalore and Jaipur. She then found her calling for teaching and has been heading the academic programs at Bangalore School of Design ever since. She works with students at BSD, facilitating them to develop academic and co-curricular skills. She develops workshops and design projects for students of interior design to boost their educational journey. She is well versed in theory of design and history of interiors and architecture. She has also done a certification course from Harvard on The Architectural Imagination – Critical thinking and history. She teaches history and theory of design and their allied subjects. She is an avid animal lover and volunteers at dog shelters in her free time. Dipti is also a passionate self-taught baker who loves to make sweet treats for friends and family.

Ritesh is our resident civil engineer with a passion for design. He has graduated as a gold medalist in his M.Tech (Structures) from SJB Institute of Technology where he secured the third rank. He worked as a structural engineer and published in the International Research Journal of Engineering and Technology. He has conducted national and international seminars on “ The Concrete Panorama” and “Innovative Designs and Construction practices in Highways, Bridges and flyover”. Ritesh is very passionate about his subject and is always innovating, researching and discovering journals on it. He is also an admirable teacher who takes pride in showing design students how they can combine their love for design and the objective approach of structures and construction. He is always ready to teach students the latest softwares and technological advances that are relevant to design and construction.

Suresh is a mechanical engineer with a masters in product design and industrial design from IIT Bombay. He has worked as a product designer for different companies for over 35 years. His forte has been product detailing of Health care products, Consumer Durables, Material handling equipment, Construction machines, Poultry equipment & Agricultural equipment and Seed processing machines. He is the founder and treasurer of the ‘Design Guild of India’ which is a professional industrial designers association that organizes different events and workshops of the design community. Working as a product designer, he has designed and developed the following products – e-Books, Sensor housing for parking system, Robot vehicle as an educational toy, control box and sensor housing for light energy saving device, height adjustable racks for bathroom and Kitchenand a lot more. Suresh has published many papers and articles for national and international conferences. He is keen on sharing his 38 years of knowledge to the upcoming product design student community.

Chhaya started as an Electronics Design Engineer and worked with the Dept of Electronics, Govt of India. She subsequently turned entrepreneur, as she set up to create innovative design solutions for custom designed space organizers for residential, commercial and industrial projects. She further specialized in kitchen accessories and designs with over 4500 plus projects with reputed architects and interior designers till date.

Chhaya has custom designed and manufactured various products for high end companies like Hindustan Unilever, HMT watches, BHEL, Nissin, Rail Wheel Factory and many more. Her 30 plus years of experience in designing and manufacturing products has made her an ideal educator of product design with this wealth of knowledge.

Pradyumna started his career as Graphic / Web Design faculty in 2019 and since then he understood that spreading knowledge is his forte and continued his passion of being an educator. He is currently working as a Lecturer for Graphic Design in Bangalore School of Design, Bangalore. He has had extensive knowledge and experience in the fields, particularly Graphic Design-Branding and Product Design. He has also worked extensively on Web designing & media editing. As part of his career journey , he has also trained/ mentored 150 plus students in the respective field. He has freelanced multiple projects for reputed organisations like “Petrichor Eco Innovations”, “Ruhe-Interiors” “Ominira-Chocolate & Dessert company”, “O Duty Cafe” etc. His extensive work experience and innovative thinking, combined with his passion into the industry has helped him, sculpting himself as an ideal professional in the field of Graphic Design.

An accomplished Image Compositor, Educator/Tutor, and Graphic/Visual Designer with 7 years of wealthy experience. I am Yanni, an experienced graphic designer with a passion for visual storytelling and a deep understanding of design principles. With a Masters’s degree in Visual Communication, I possess a diverse skill set in traditional and digital design techniques, including logo design, brand identity development, and user experience design.

Throughout my career, I have collaborated with various clients, from small businesses to established corporations, ensuring a deep understanding of their unique requirements and objectives. With expertise in industry-standard design software and a commitment to staying updated with the latest trends, I consistently deliver innovative and impactful design solutions that effectively communicate messages and resonate with audiences.

Lakshmi is professionally trained in science and computer education, but as a passionate artist who spontaneously drew and painted from the age of three, taught herself fine arts and trained in graphic and multimedia design which lead her to work for disney as a 2d frame to frame animator.

Her people skills and love for communication and teaching then lead her to work with school children to enhance their creative outlets. She also conducts various art related workshops for adults like sketching, creative painting, art therapy, breathwork etc. At BSD she works with design students to help them build their creative senses and also guides them with methods of creative expression. She takes classes on the fundamentals of drawing, colour theory, art history and conducts workshops that allow students to explore the arts beyond the curriculum.

Soumya is an Architect, graduated from BMS School of Architecture. She has worked as an architect for a couple of years on institutional and residential projects.

Later on, she developed interest towards interior designing and she has worked as an interior designer on retail and residential projects. Soumya is very much involved in whatever she does. She has trained her interns one on one during her professional experience. She wants to carry forward this type of professional training into the academic field. She believes in the concept of interactive sessions and one on one sessions with the students. Giving students individual attention will enhance their skills and talents.

She is also a professional photographer, and has very good software skills when it comes to digital presentation of designs.

Hamsika Vignesh completed her undergraduate degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from the Chennai Academy of Architecture and Design (CAAD). As someone fascinated with history, stories, experiences, and comprehending how we have progressed she continues to learn, and explore the different ways design aspects have evolved. As part of the learning process – she has done various courses like UX certification by Google and Coursera, and Architectural writing – a workshop by Ethos and Apoorva Dutta.

She enjoys writing, cooking and a good chat!

As a UI / UX designer, He is passionate about creating user-centric experiences that solve real-world problems. His skills have improved as a result of working on numerous products with talented designers and hardworking mentors.

He believes that understanding user needs and motivating them are crucial for producing successful products. Because of this, He even trains aspiring designers on how to create innovative solutions of the highest calibre.

His advice to students is that , If they are learning UI/ UX, they have to keep an open mind and keep learning if they want to design & change the world.

As a seasoned product designer with over 3 years of experience in UI/UX design, I have gained an in-depth understanding of the principles and practices of user experience research. Throughout my career, I have worked with several well-known companies such as Pingar, Molbio, Appiness, and currently with MoneyView, where I work as a product designer.

Apart from designing, I have developed a passion for teaching UX research, and I find it fulfilling to impart knowledge and skills to others. My teaching philosophy is centered on interactive, student-centered learning, where I engage my students with real-life examples and case studies to illustrate key concepts. My ultimate goal is to equip my students with practical skills that will enable them to solve real-world problems in the design industry.

Overall, my experience and passion for UX research make me a capable and dedicated teacher who is committed to helping aspiring designers achieve their goals.

Swathi is UI/UX design analyst at Covalense Digital Solutions Pvt Ltd, where she have 4 years of experience in design, with 2 years specifically in UI/UX. In addition to her full-time job, she also work part-time as a UI lecturer at Bangalore School of Design, and she also do freelance design work. she studied fashion design at Manipal Academy of Higher Education before transitioning to a career in UI/UX design.

Umair Ahmad is a highly skilled professional with 9+ years of experience and a background in Computer Science and Applications. He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Computer Applications from Christ University. Umair currently works as a Mobile Applications Team Lead at Bakkal, a Silicon Valley startup. With his expertise in mobile app development, he is responsible for managing a team of developers to create innovative and user-friendly apps. Umair’s dedication to his work and passion for technology have made him a valuable and senior member of faculty at Bangalore School of Design and Technology. Gagandeep Josan is a startup entrepreneur who loves solving complex problems with technology. Before turning into an entrepreneur, he had a rich corporate experience in Software Product Management at Amazon, Nokia and Infinera. He founded his tech startup, Nittio Learn that enabled eCommerce and retail companies to train tens of thousands of their employees remotely. In his spare time, he helps other technology entrepreneurs fulfil their dreams of building successful startups.

Earlier she was related to “Chartered Institute of Technology” for 5yrs where she worked as a professor with the Humanities and Social Sciences Department.

Shazma did her masters in commerce in accounting and finance from St.Joseph’s (Bangalore). She then worked in the corporate sector with Innovative Retail Concept PVT Ltd. She has Attended various paper presentations national and international level on GST. She now has over 5 years of experience in education, teaching in different colleges. She is passionate about keeping up with the trends and learning new technologies and has worked on a project “If a study on Comparison of Indian Rupee with US $”. She guides our students, preparing them with practical skills to take on the professional world.

Dineshwar has been a practicing architect for 30 years while running his architecture and interior design firm – Design Studio. He has done various projects, both residential and commercial all over India and in Singapore. His passion for design and creating functional as well as aesthetic design solutions is strikingly unmistakable in his work. His love for all things design, led him to the education industry. He has been a professor of design in various architecture and interior design colleges for the last 6 years. Ever since, he has been striving to spread his experience and knowledge with innovative design education methodologies to match the current design trends. He believes in equipping students of design with basic understanding of the design process and with the skills to execute and implement their ideas. His unique approach to design education makes him an ideal design guide.

Preethi Dineshwar, our Director at BSD is an architect from Malnad College of Engineering, Karnataka. She has been an integral part of the architectural firm Design Studio from its inception in 1996. She has worked on various residential and commercial projects in the last 20+ years. She has travelled extensively and has been part of the World Architecture Festival several times. She was invited to teach architecture at BMS School of Architecture in 2010 and realised that sharing with students, the knowledge acquired through many years of working in the industry is the need of the day. In 2017 she took it up on a whole new dimension at Bangalore School of Design and is now spearheading the academic division of the school. She firmly believes that the young aspiring designers of today are the ones who will literally create the spaces for tomorrow and guiding them in the right direction with the right knowledge is the duty and responsibility of any design school.

Sharan Desai is a graduate of architecture from BMS College of Engineering and then completed his masters in urban design and city planning from the university of oklahoma in the USA. He has been teaching students of architecture and design for more than seven years. Sharan believes strongly in bringing change to the society, he has started and conducted several events, workshops and organizations that have created an impact for the betterment of our cities and communities.

Having a well rounded experience of 12+ years in the field of User of Experience Design, Arun is a consummate professional who heads the HCI department of BSD which serves as a forum for students to interact and learn from his vast experience on working on varied design problems.

He has worked with MNCs like SAP and Cisco and also startups like Above Solutions to help solve complex design problems and pioneer a design first approach to problem solving. He currently heads the user experience group at Rupeek Fintech.

Arun also founded the DTALE design studio which was a user experience based startup aimed at promoting simplifying complex problems through timely and thoughtful design solutions prior to Rupeek. During this time he headed a team that worked on 50+ projects across varied sectors like e-commerce, Fintech, Digital Currency, Wellness, Medical, Cognitive Health, ERP, IOT, Smart Technology, Digital and print Media.

Seema Ramakrishna is an Architect with 30 years of work experience in Interior Design. She is currently Advisor – Interiors at Brigade Group, Bengaluru. Her expertise lies in the Interior Design Management of Hospitality spaces along with several Residential, Commercial, Retail projects. A very notable project addressed by her is the Indian Music Experience, Bengaluru which encapsulates the rich heritage of Indian Culture dating back to 200 years ago, interwoven with modern technology. From the stages of concept to execution, Seema is a hands-on professional who enables dream designs to turn into a reality. Penchant for Travel has taken her to 30 countries which has enriched her knowledge and beliefs in the Theory of Design. Having worked closely with International and Indian designers her exposure to diversified design philosophies has helped her design and manage spaces on a global note. Knowledge is Power and Seema strongly believes in sharing her learnings with young aspirants, weaving design ideas seamlessly with cost, quality and time.

Nirmala is an alumni of the malnad association of architects. She has professional experience of over 25 years in the field of architecture, interior design and real estate. She has worked on store development and design for some of the leading companies of india like reliance and vision express. Nirmala has uncompromising ethics and transparent communications in her professional endeavors which has led her to produce top quality services. She has started teaching students of design to share her years of experience and knowledge. Nirmala brings a new perspective to students, one of professionalism and teamwork in the design and real estate industry.

Ar. Pravin DV loves to travel around the world seeking inspiration to design & gain an abundance of experience. An adventurer who treks mountains & rides cross country is a graduate of Architecture from the renowned Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, and a Masters in Landscape Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.

Thinking inside-out and the other way around is his way to approach a project & practicing for over 20 years across large scale resorts, Residential & commercial projects has made his design the most sought after. Ar. Pravin loves experimenting with materials & strongly believes in breaking the norm to set new designs. His vast experience will reflect in the curriculum & as the program head the students of Landscape Design are set to gain immense knowledge.

Srikanth is an alumni of the malnad association of architects. He has executed a multitude of residences, hospitals, commercial buildings, offices, malls and more in his 30 years of working as an architect all over the country.  His technical knowledge is beyond his years and he is the go to professor at BSD for students to learn about technical and structural aspects of design and construction. His design experience has led him to be one of our senior design faculty as well. Srikanth has been the thesis guide to our final year students, giving them a well wounded design education, be it aesthetic and creative senses or technical detailing. 

Yogesh V.N is a young and dynamic architect representing the new face of the construction industry. He completed his Bachelor of Architecture in MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore and hailed as the treasurer through his term. Hailing from a Family of builders, VN Constructions, his love for building and technology led him to pursue Masters in Construction Project Management from the Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. He now has established the partnership Firm, Archemist Architects, along with his wife Divya and makes sure timely completion of projects at the same time monitoring quality and efficiency in the construction process. A true adventurist in Nature, he trains for the IRON MAN triathlon of Swimming, Cycling and Running. He loves to Travel and enjoys different cuisines. Surfing, Canoeing, Trekking and Scuba Diving are his passions.

He makes time out of his professional life to conduct reviews and juries as a guest faculty, giving his valuable feedback and inputs to students.

Divya graduated from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology with a Gold Medal in Architecture. She has been honoured with the Pidilite Industries Award for Excellence in Architectural Design Her passion towards environmentally responsible architecture led her to further specialise in this field and she procured a Masters in ‘Advanced Sustainable Design’ from The University of Edinburgh, Scotland. She has now established a partnership architectural practice along with her husband Yogesh VN and is striving towards making a difference with respect to environmentally sustainable buildings in the city. An Avid Traveller, she enjoys exploring different landscapes and cultures. She runs marathons, loves to trek, Canoe and Surf. A certified scuba diver she has travelled to the world’s best Reefs. She enjoys painting and watercolour and charcoal are her medium of art.

Her passion to give back to the student community of design led her to contribute her knowledge and experience as a visiting professor.

One of the co-founders of RCA, George is an award-winning designer and has over 20 years of experience in Design and Architecture. As a Design-Director, he is known for designs that are highly functional yet inspirational and aesthetically pleasing. His design solutions are based on a methodology that addresses the unique context and requirements of each project and site, while reflecting the specific needs, concerns and goals of the client & work within defined budgets and timelines. As a visiting faculty member, George brings his 20 years of experience to the students of Interior Design & Interior Architecture at Bangalore School of Design.

As a co-founder and Design-Director of RCA, Vijay combines knowledge with aesthetic vision while working with clients and other design professionals to develop design solutions that are safe, functional, attractive and meet the needs of the people using the space. He is extensively involved with planning & execution strategies of RCA and his role also involves keeping RCA abreast with latest in implementation process & technology. With over 20 years of experience, Vijay is a blessing to students of design. His involvement with BSD has given our students an opportunity to experience different outlooks on design.

Sushil Koshy Babukutten, is an architect from the Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan, who has been practicing in Chennai for over three decades. Over the years he has evolved as a designer by being involved in innumerable architecture and interior design projects. He has designed and executed residential houses, aparte=ments, offices, commercial establishments, info-tech infrastructure and factories as well.

With he decades of experience he interacts with students of BSD as a visiting professor guiding them on their design projects giving them valuable real time inputs and feedback.

Ar. Nischal has studied the art of advanced architectural design in Germany and is now the founder of M9 studio and the co-founder of one or the other. At M9 studio he strives to impact people through spaces and creates new and exciting designs that leave a mark on the city’s landscape. He believes that design should inspire people, help them connect with one another and enrich the human experience. His work is published in renowned design journals and websites. He conducts presentations of his work for design students that inspires them and provokes them to think beyond the book.

Living life one step at a time; ‘CARPE DIEM‘; Akshar believes that the simpler your life, the fuller it is. Drawing parallels between this philosophy and architecture, he found a passion for sustainability in his college days. With constant exposure to sustainable building practices and the belief that architecture has a social responsibility to protect the environment, he decided to make a career in sustainable architecture.He is now an architect at Made in Earth, a firm specialising in low energy, ecologically responsible, earth architecture. Home is where the heart is, and this is home to Akshar. He also spends time interacting with design students to build this sensitivity in them to help spread awareness of a sustainable future in design from an early age in their careers.

Ramya is a prolific architect with over three years of experience working as a Project Architect at a top Architectural Design firm in India. Her expertise lies in creative conceptualisation and design management. She pursued her undergraduate studies from Ramaiah Institute of Technology, India, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Construction Project Management from the University of Melbourne, Australia. In her free time, Ramya enjoys travelling, exploring culturally rich landscapes and dancing to the tunes of classic 90s POP. Also, when she’s not doing any of these, she puts on her “Pun-dit” hat and is probably thinking of witty comebacks. Ramya is a staunch believer of veg biryani, and her office hours are open to convincing you of it. She finds time to interact with the student community as she is exploring her passion for teaching.

Mokshaa is an architect turned furniture designer. After graduating from BMS School of Architecture in 2018, she worked for two years at Bram Woodcrafting Studio in Mysore, thus starting her journey in Furniture Design. At Bram Woodcrafting Studio, Mokshaa worked closely on designing and developing a variety of products, with experience in different kinds of techniques used in modern day woodworking. She has also handled workshops for college students as part of her work at BWS, and was exposed to the theory behind furniture design and carpentry as well. She believes that design students must be strong in their concepts and technical knowledge in order to push their creative boundaries.

Paromita Harsha is an architect and artist from Bangalore, India. She has been working at her family firm – Kumar and Swamy architects after she graduated from BMS School of Architecture. A third generation architect, she has lived and breathed design her whole life. She specializes in architecture and interior design of educational institutions and commercial projects. She has been working and continues to work on several institutional and commercial projects all over India. She has also completed a certificate course from MOMA on modern art appreciation and history. She is a digital and mixed media artist in her free time.

Abishek is an architect, graduated from BMS School of Architecture and has been working at Balan and Nambisan Architects ever since. He trained with them as an intern and is now one of their junior architects. He has worked on a number of projects including restaurants, breweries and large scale residential buildings. He handles projects from the conceptual developmental stages to executing them onsite.

He has also been involved in curating and displaying their award winning work at different exhibitions. Abishek has recently been involved in the design education world as he hopes to help students be better prepared to transition into the professional stage of their careers. He is also a self taught avid musician and enjoys traveling during his time off.

Akash is a graduate of Design from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore, Karnataka. An artist by heart and a designer by profession who has deep design experience and expertise in working with some of the best brands globally. From being Creative Head at PUMA to creating concepts(VM) at Louis Philippe to doing Art Direction at Cowrks, he has over 9 years of experience in various creative fields. Having worked on projects like suede Gully, Run the Streets to launch the brand One8 by Virat Kohli, he has accumulated a unique set of marketing and design skills across various verticals. He has worked as a graphic designer, apparel designer, visual merchandiser, product and interior space designer and brings all these skills together to the students of Bangalore School of Design.

Sindu is a graduate of architecture from Ramaiah University (Bangalore). She has been working in Design Studio for the last three years as aJunior Architect where she has contributed to the design and execution of various commercial projects, hospitals, luxury houses and residential interiors. She is looking to pursue her further education as her interests lie in Sustainability in Architecture.

She is a carefree spirit who loves solo travelling, theater, trekking, boxing and adventure activities. This nature of hers translates into her design language and she urges students to develop their own. She teaches subjects likke services and construction, where she can add industry knowledge from practical experience. She also guides students with their design project, taking them step by step through a process to create functional and aesthetic solutions.

An entrepreneur by heart, with over 13 years of experience in the fields of design production, brand building, communication design and event management. Vishvan has played a crucial role in creating multiple brands such as Kingfisher Futsal National Championship, SPT Sports, and The Sunfeast Cup North East to name a few. Since the inception of CANOFJUICE, he has successfully created a portfolio of clients ranging from co-working spaces such as WeWork & Cowrks to retails brands under Aditya Birla Fashion and Dentsu Webchutney along with many more. 

His operational and execution skills bring ideas to life and see the projects find their fullest potential. At Bangalore School of Design with his immense knowledge in Design execution plays a vital role for students. His problem-solving attitude towards design and production has been passed down to the next generation of designers at BSD. 

Arun, a graduate of Fine Arts started his career in Web Design, Graphics Design and eventually moved to Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Design. His core competency is Prototyping, Information Architecture, UX Writing, User Interface Design & User Flows. Over the 6 plus years of professional experience in practicing design & worked with reputed organizations like WinnerBrands, Rupeek Fintech, Mercedes-Benz Research & Development India & many more. Currently works as a UX consultant and worked on products such as Create Cures, Valter Longo foundation, Intel-eyes, & etc.

As a practicing designer, Arun Kubasad brings industry-related problems & scenarios into the classroom learning and builds the students to be industry-ready.

Theerthak did his bachelors in architecture  from RV College of engineering and has worked for renowned architects in India and Sri Lanka. He is now a partner at his architectural firm D.U.N.E. They work on many residential projects and commercial projects around the world.

Theerthak has been teaching students of architecture and interior design as a visiting professor in many colleges around bangalore. He encourages students’ creativity and steers them to bring out their best design as a thesis guide to many final year students. At BSD he has conducted several reviews and juries for our first year students while teaching them the basics of design and for our final year students where his years of industry expertise give them a new outlook on their design.

Chiara is an architect who graduated in Architecture at Politecnico, Milan. She holds a postgraduate Master (Design Research Laboratory) from the Architectural Association, London. Chiara’s passion for architecture, design and research brought her to explore different fields connected to design and architecture.

She has practised in Milan, London and Bangalore. Her professional experience includes design at multiple scales, from urban and architectural to interior and product. Chiara’s approach to design unfolds through materials’ innovation and processes, carrying on a computational method to solve the complexity of the projects.

Her academic experience includes collaboration and teaching at Inarch in Rome with a module in Computational Design Thinking and at Politecnico of Milan as assistant professor of the Technology Systems Laboratory.

In India she worked in the establishment of a five years course for a new school in Delhi. This involved funds and facility management and design, courses structure, syllabus and school vision definition and contacts with the industry, linking India to the American and European panorama. In Delhi she also participated in the organization and teaching of the workshop Encoded Design Protocols, where she guided the students in exploring the important relation between analogical and digital in the Indian design project scenario. When teaching her approach is very experimental and she pushes the research to the limit to get the best out of the student’s inventiveness and thinking.

Her research embraces the complex relation between machines, architecture and materials, with a focus on the real-time feedback loop applied on projects that reconfigure over time, learning and adapting to the site conditions. As an International Faculty for Design Chiara brings in a new perspective for design education at Bangalore School of Design.

Mona Fernandes comes from a family of passionate gardeners, this gives her immense joy to get her hands dirty, and tending to plants is therapeutic. As a graduate of Visual Arts from the prestigious Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat & an International Diploma Graduate in Interior Design from College De Paris, Mona Fernandes worked with many Landscape Design companies for a few years before starting Pretty Patio in 2014. Currently manages a team of 22 gardeners, 2 Interior Designers & an Architect, and Pretty Patio has completed over 150 landscape designs & Balcony makeovers in residential villas, restaurants & corporate offices across Bangalore, Chennai, Goa & Hyderabad.

Currently based out of UAE and launching a new company – Botanica & parallelly managing the team in India. Her experience in Landscape Design brings immense knowledge to the programs at Bangalore School of Design.

Giuseppe lives and breathes design to the hilt. He is constantly striving to raise the bar and pushing the boundaries, ensuring the product is aligned with the design aspiration. His genuine speculative approach has taken him to explore new paths with clients and manufacturers to design & produce cutting edge products and architecture. He is a founder of OSW, a networked research group of architects and designers based in Italy, USA, and UK. Giuseppe has worked with Studio Marco Piva-Milan and Zaha Hadid Architects in London and headed the Design at Urban Frame in Bangalore.
