There was a Guest Lectures Mr. Mahesh and Mr. Dinesh, who gave a detailed lecture on Interior Services of Lighting, Plumbing and HVAC. Having a Professional Practitioner explaining, and expression the actual difficulties faced at the site, helps the students to connect and discover.

- False Ceiling & Electrical Layouts
Students were given a lecture on the importance of producing the right electrical drawings for the site. The lecture included a demo of professional false ceiling drawing and electrical layout for a residential project.

- VRay Rendering
Students are learning a few softwares in their curriculum. As part of the beyond curriculum initiative, we invited an industry expert to give our students a technological edge over others.

- Lighting in Interior Design
Mr.Prabhu, the CEO of Enersave, a company that has been in the business for decades now, along with Mr. Jagdish, educated our interior design students on the importance of lighting in a project. His lecture also covered the different types of lighting and the latest products and technology available in the market.

Landscaping is an important part of designing spaces. Mr. Dambol, who is a passionate self made landscape designer, addressed the students on way to create interior landscapes.

As a part of #WeGoBeyondCurriculum, the students of interior design are exposed to the professional field to prepare them better when they join the profession. Visits to sites, factories and showrooms help them understand what they are learning first hand and build a better grasp on implementing knowledge to practicality.

At BSD we believe that students need to implement what they learn as practical knowledge. Each semester we introduce a hypothetical project which they design, following a design process while interacting with our experienced faculty. We culminate this journey with an external jury, where working professionals from the field give their valuable input individually to the students.
